Lindrick Golf Club is considered to be one of Britains' finest inland courses.Known for its first forty years as the Sheffield & District Golf Club (hence the S&D on the tee-boxes).
Lindrick has indeed had a distinguished past, although It is perhaps unlikely to see another Ryder or Curtis Cup.
Lindrick is an excellent test for golfers of all standards - the greens are firm and fast, the course is open throughout the year and in winter playing conditions are particularly good.
Temporary greens are rare and the fine fairways make preferred lies unnecessary other than in the wettest of years. The golf course is unusual in that it finishes with par 3, rated by some as one of the best finishing holes in golf.

Local Weather

Lindrick Golf Club

Sited in Magnesian limestone heathland providing excellent drainage, the course will normally be closed only because of snow or frost. It occupies an area of approximately 205 acres and is also a site of Special Scientific Interest which is managed in accordance with English Nature's Wildlife Enhancement Scheme.

The undulating terraine, ensures that only the par-3's are played over reasonably flattish ground, with other holes taking you gently up hill and down dale, with a few dog-legs to negotiate and some blind shots to make - not least at the sunken green on the par-5 4th hole.
